This neighbourhood has two schools – the “Cobblestone Elementary School” and the “Sacred Heart School”. The presence of these two structures has helped to draw new home builders and families with young children into this new area of South Paris.
Many travelers driving in off the 403 highway think that this area is “brand new”. It really is not. If we look, for example, three blocks over from these new townhomes on Arlington Parkway we will see that the townhomes on Marriott Place were built back in 2007 – 2009 and the townhouses on Rowe Lane were built back in 2008 – 2011. So really what we are saying is that it took ten years to build out three new streets to the south. Two neighbouring street, McQueen Avenue and Crawford Place were 2016 and 2018 projects.
In this new neighbourhood, 65% of the homes are single; 9% are semi’s and 24% are townhouse style units. 59% are less than ten years old.
These “Grandview Homes” built townhouses are two storey single car garage units. Built in four clusters of six units each. Brick, stone and vinyl siding. No condo fees. These are “freeholds”. The end units are four bedroom units with 1,525 square feet and the interior units are 1,415 square feet. The builder’s price difference between these two styles of units when new was $40,000.
